This weekend is homecoming weekend for me, as I will be showing at Parkville Days in historic downtown Parkville, Missouri. Parkville Days have always been a grand celebration of a great community. In the past, I enjoyed walking around the main street party. Last year was my first time showing my photographic art and soul in my hometown. I have been looking forward to this event for the past six months, maybe even the last year. Parkville Days are genuinely one of those events that have something for everyone. I know that many feared that this year would be postponed, moved, or even canceled, but in true Parkville fashion, we will have our party. Parkville is a community of survivors. We still have that small-town feeling, and work ethic to make things better. While the parks are still closed, they will reopen once the cleanup has been completed. I know that the city staff is working as fast as possible on this because they too want our parks back open. The main point is that downtown Parkville is, and has been open for business through everything that has transpired this year. I hope to see you there this weekend.
