In this fourth part of the Morocco trip we pick after lunch on day three. Our group had decided after eating lunch to walk to the old Jewish quarter of town. Yes I know what you are thinking, “isn’t Morocco an Islamic country?”. Well the short answer is yes, but they do allow other religions; you are just not supposed to try to convert anyone in public. It should also be noted that Morocco, prior to the founding of modern Israel in 1948, had the largest population of the Jewish faith in the whole of the Muslim world. Currently there are around 2,500 living in Morocco.
