Today Shelley and I loaded up the car and drove to one of my favorite places to photograph this time of year. Over the last year the name has been changed from Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge to Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge. Eagle Days happened even with the change in the name. Although oddly enough all of the Missouri highway signs still call it Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. This year the last official counts as of 11/27 listed 94,650 Snow Geese, 868 Trumpeter Swans, and 110 Eagles. The water was perfect for the event. Here are some of my favorites.
