For sunset, Shelley and I ended up at Mohave Point. We had hiked and driven along the south rim of the Grand Canyon for most of the day looking for the best location to photograph the setting sun over a portion of the Grand Canyon. I made the photograph below when the sun was dipping below the horizon. Then during my post-processing, I blended two exposures of the scene. This process allows me to create a photograph that contains the full range of colors. As I saw them when sitting on the cold snow covered rock on the rim of the Canyon.
