They say that hindsight is 20/20. I know what a bad joke to start off with, right? 2019 was not the worst year that I’ve had in the photography business, but it could have been a lot better.

2019 a Look Back

In 2019 I began something that I had been telling myself that I would start for over a year. I started my YouTube channel. This was something that I had wanted to get going for well over a year. Who am I kidding? It’s been over three years, maybe even longer. I kept finding reasons not to do this. Well, until I was presented with the death of a long-time co-worker who was a close friend and supporter of my creative side. She had always wanted to see the travels of my wife, Shelley and I. My friend had always followed my social media accounts and website looking to see the next piece of my artistic soul. She gave me great feedback about many things. I will miss our conversations about life, photography, and travel.

In 2019 I wrote well over 2,000 words in all of my travel blogs. Don’t believe me, then please feel free to read them all starting right here with Part 1.

In 2019 Shelley and I explored places in Arizona that I never dreamed of in my wildest dreams. Those stories are coming soon to both my website and YouTube Channel. We hiked areas along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, we journeyed in secret slot canyons, and we enjoyed mad dashes to National Parks. And I cannot wait to share the videos and photographs with you.

In 2019 I took part in more Art Festivals than any other year since 2016. I am planning to be at the majority of the same shows in 2020. Except for the shows that have died off. These shows are gone due to a lack of interest from both the public and the art community.

What’s to come in 2020?

Shelley and I plan to travel to some cool places. Where I will undoubtedly photograph and video some really cool landscapes. Here’s to the new year and new experiences that will come for all.
